PROIETTA brought the history of the Templars in Biot back to life with two spectacular editions of monumental video mapping. The enchanting French medieval village was transformed into an urban screen of over 20,000 square meters, thanks to an immersive architectural projection that animated walls, façades, and historic towers.
The 20-minute light and sound show was part of the event “Biot et les Templiers,” a historical reenactment celebrating the city’s connection with the Knights Templar. The projections, produced over two editions in 2024/25, attracted thousands of spectators, showcasing the cultural heritage through historical video mapping technology.
To create the event, PROIETTA installed a series of high-lumen video projectors protected by PROIETTA projector housings, which safeguard the technology from weather and potential damage.

Creating an immersive experience entirely using video mapping can be costly.
Thanks to the GOBO MAPPING technique, it is possible to project mapped images onto large surfaces, thereby reducing costs and AMPLIFYING the impact of the video show.
PROIETTA developed this technique using its own technology and expertise. Request more information!
